Private Student Loan Eligibility
Student loan requirements and guidelines.
You worked hard to get into college - now your eligibility for a private student loan depends on a just a few simple requirements.
Applying with a qualified student loan cosigner is the simplest way to meet National City Direct Student Loan requirements. A solid cosigner, a parent or other creditworthy adult, makes you a stronger loan candidate. It increases your chances of preliminary approval in as few as 15 minutes and could even help you get a better rate. And unlike other student loans, you won't be turned down because your family income is "too high" or your cosigner "has too much money."
Private student loan eligibility requirements:
To apply you must be:
- At least 17 years of age with a qualified cosigner, or age of majority when applying alone1
